The Chanda Devi Saraf School celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June, 2020. ‘FIT CDS Movement ‘online Yoga competition was conducted by the school in order to create awareness about importance of yoga on mind & body. Yoga is a systematic process for the control and development of healthy mind and body. Practicing yoga among young students reduces stress and promotes relaxation. Students from all the branches of the city participated in huge numbers. They performed yoga and sent their video clip on the school Email - ID. After going through rigorous selection trials the following students came shinning out in the competition.

Meritorious students of class 10th and 12th were felicitated on 𝟏𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 Saturday in the school auditorium. 25 students from ICSE and 5 students from ISC were honoured with 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐝𝐚𝐬𝐣𝐢 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐟 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝. One of our student 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐝𝐰𝐞 stood as vidharbha topper, 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐤 𝐆𝐮𝐥𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐞, 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐞, 𝐊𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐑𝐚𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐤, 𝐑𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚 were honoured as they scored highest marks in maths, science and Hindi. The school principal 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐁𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐲𝐚 read the school report. The function was sanctified with the beautiful song sung by our CDS choir. Incharge for this program was 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐃𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐣𝐞𝐞. We are very Glad to Inform that our School students had participated in Inter School Gymnastic Competition held on 6th August '23 at Ludus Fitness Center, Ram Nagar and our students brought merit to our school

Pratham Gaidhane stood on 1st position and got Gold medal , Iha Chandak got Silver medal and Anvisha Rathi got bronze medal . Girls team also won a trophy for the school

Master Dhairya Kothi brought laurels to the school by winning at the STATE LEVEL BOXING CHAMPIONSHIP 2023 which was held in Nagpur.

He won the following bouts :-

Bout 1 - 4-1 against Ranveer Katariya of Pimpri Chinchwad.

Bout 2 - Won by RSC in 1st round against Om Gole of Thane District.

Bout 3 - (Quarter final ) - Won on points 4-1 against Yash Meshram.

The Chanda Devi Saraf School and Junior College had organized a program for Teachers based on "Prevention of Depression and Development of Peer Leadership " with the help of Rotary Club.

The Primary Section of The CDS School Katol Road celebrated International Tiger Day on 28/07/23. Mrs Sonal Kamdi ,Assistant Forest Officer ,Wildlife Wing Nagpur was the chief guest on the occasion. Mrs.Shahnoor K Mirza Principal Waldrof school was also present to witness the program .Ananya Tiwari reporter from Times of India. The students of class IV Robin spoke about the Tigers Day.All the students of classes I to IV (primary section) were wearing yellow & black coloured dresses.They all danced to the tune of the 'Tiger Anthem'.Principal Mrs.Bharti Malviya welcomed the chief guest, & Mrs.Shahnoor K Mirza was welcomed by Miss.Sonali Chikhale, Incharge of Primary Section.

The dance was choreographed by Mrs Jayshree Meshram, Suraj Sir & Vineet Sir trained the students to sing the song.School Director Mrs. Nishaji Saraf appreciated the efforts of the teachers and students.

The program was anchored by Mrs Makshika A.

As the new session begins, in school the new Student Council body has been elected by having the election through the Secret ballot system. To honour the newly elected student council body , the school had arranged the Investiture Ceremony. On this occasion the Chief guest was API Shri. Vijay Bishe along with the Head Constable Shri. Atul Agarkar , who spoke about the "CYBER CRIME" which was very beneficial for students. The Principal of the school Mrs. Bharti Malviya congratulated the newly elected Student Council Body. The Director Madam Mrs. Nisha ji Saraf also blessed and congratulated the students. The function was anchored by Mr. Anil Francis.

A session on Women's health, happiness & hygiene was held at The CDS School, Katol road, Nagpur 𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 𝐛𝐲 𝐃𝐫. 𝐕𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐡𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞 Consultant Gynaecologist of Maher Maternity & Nursing Home, Dharampeth, Nagpur. She delivered a talk on Women's Health and Happiness of Ladies who are above forty and teenagers. She also explained how they should keep themselves happy and healthy.

The session was very helpful for all the lady teachers of all age group. There were fifty participants attended the workshop.

CDS School had organized an 𝑨𝒓𝒕 & 𝑪𝒓𝒂𝒇𝒕 𝑬𝒙𝒉𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 on 28th April 2023 along with the co-operation of teachers and students. Children's handmade art was exhibited in the Auditorium.

The programme was witnessed by 𝑴𝒊𝒔𝒔 𝑨𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒚𝒂 𝑮𝒖𝒑𝒕𝒂 ,who herself is an architect and interior designer and 𝑴𝒓𝒔 𝑨𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊 𝑱𝒂𝒊𝒔𝒘𝒂𝒍, one of our PTA member appreciated the Children's effort and talent under the guidance of Art & Craft teacher

Middle and high school students presented various models, experiments and presentation on physics, chemistry, biology, computer science and environmental science.

Program started with welcome song followed by Ganesh Vandana and a beautiful poem on science by Devika jog.

A program was a grand success.

On 26th August, 2023 The CDS school had organised a workshop on "Wellness in Box" for the parents of std. VIII Students. The Resource person Ms. Kavita Saraf focused on the issues related to the problems faced by the students during their adolescence.

Principal Ms. Bharti Malviya also addressed to the parents and apprised them about the efforts taken by the school to deal with emotional problems faced by the students. The workshop was concluded with vote of thanks from Ms. Rashmi sinha.

Preprimary children of CDS School Katol Rd celebrated green day. They dressed as different fruits, vegetables, insects and birds which is Green in colour .They performed skit, song ,poems and said about their green characters .Even their lunchbox was also full of green colour.

For celebrating green day children brought green plant along with them.Tiny tots were so enthusiastic and happy.

Mr Ashok Kapoor and Mrs Kapoor from Jan Aakrosh team developed awareness about safety on the road. Pre-primary section of 'Chanda Devi Saraf and junior college' celebrated 'Annual Sports Day' on Saturday on 04.11.2023. Programme started with offering flowers on founder's photos by the guests, director and principle. Balloons were flew in the sky after which kg2 students performed dance on 'Ganesh Vandana'. Dr. Mohsin quazi was the guest of Honour, Mrs Shruti Gandhi was the chief guest and Kashish quazi,Mr Kunal were also as other guests in this event.Director Mrs Nisha Saraf and principal Bharti Malviya welcome to the guests with flowers bouquet and momentos. Nursery,Kg 1 and kg 2 students participated in different races and games enthusiastically. Winners of the races were given medals by the guests.They encouraged and motivated all the participants. Students Keeona Kudwe and Sanika walke did fabulous anchoring along with pre primary coordinator Mrs Sushma Singh.Programme was ended with a game 'musical chairs' for the parents, guided by Mr. Francis Naik. The entire programme was successfully conducted in cheery environment.

On 4th November The Chanda Devi Saraf School was bubbling with energy & excitement.The Primary Students were all dressed in colourful sports dresses & props to participate in the Annual Sports Day.The event began with the hoisting of the School Flag & singing the School Anthem. The Annual Report was read by Principal Bharti Malviya Ma'am.The Sports Meet was declared open by Lightning of the Torch.Class 1 displayed a wonderful drill with silver balls.Class 2 students showed their talent with rings.Class 3 was on the stage with their fans & colourful umbrellas were used by Class 4 to show their skill. The students participated in various races & won many medals.Honoured guests Mrs Shruti Gandhi, Mrs Sakshi Quazi,Mr Mohsin Quazi graced the occasion. The Chanda Devi Saraf School organized its 1st Inter School Marathon on 3rd December 2023, The motive of the Marathon was to create awareness about traffic rules and road safety for the young minds. The marathon brought together runners of diverse ages and backgrounds a total 305 participants from 16 different schools from all over Nagpur City participated in the event.

The category for the Marathon was 2 km for Girl students of class 6th & 7th, 3 km for Boys representing class 6th & 7th, 3 km Girls from class 8th & 9th, 4 km for Boys of class 8th & 9th

The Marathon was flagged off by Mr. Sanket Saraf, Trustee (Chanda Devi & Gulabdasji Saraf Charitable Trust), M/s Chetna Thakre (DCP Traffic, Nagpur) Mr. Prakesh Khandekar (Janakrosh), Mrs. Bharti Malviya (Principal The CDS School).

BALDARBAR an inter SCHOOL DRAMA COMPETITION organised by BHAVANS (civil lines) during - 11th December to 15th December in BHAVANS (civil lines ) AUDITORIUM in which our students of grade 7 performed outstandingly on the theme "MITRATA EK BHRAM " - under the guidance of incharge teacher Megha Malkapure and supported by Preeti Agule . The music was composed by Vineet Kamble(Music teacher) . The Judges applauded the performance of the students and liked the theme of the play. The Chanda Devi Saraf School organised a workshop on 'Correct Posture' for classes II,III and IV on 22nd December 2023. The workshop was conducted by Mr Sandeep Agarwal.Sir highlighted the benefits of correct postures & ill effects of using mobiles, computers & laptops for long hours.

Correct postures improve our lifestyle and help to releive pain in the neck, back and feet. Correct postures strengthen the spine and help the brain to work more effectively. He advised the students to always sit upright, stand straight & sleep in a correct posture.

He demonstrated book balancing and said that it is an exercise which will correct our posture.We should avoid sitting on sofas & sleeping on soft mattresses.It is better to sit on wooden chairs with straight backs. He advised the students to use a table and chair while studying at home. Annual day celebration at Chanda Devi Saraf School, katol road.

Annual function was organized at Chanda Devi Saraf,katol road , Nagpur.CEO of Meghe Group ,Dr Abha Meghe was the chief guest at the program organized at Vasantrao Deshpande Hall. Dilnawaz Bhagwagar, Sanket Saraf, Dr Pragya Mathur, Dr Unnati Datar , Razia ma'am, Tauby Bhagwagar , Dr Dilip Deshpande and Nishaji Saraf were present as special guests .

The program started with the lighting of the lamp. Principal Bharti Malviya read the school report and welcomed the guests. High school students performed William Shakespeare's play "Julius Ceaser". The play was directed by famous director Vikash Khurana, was highly praised by the parents. All the students played their roles well. The dance presentation was very beautiful, which was directed by Jayshree Meshram.

Sanket Saraf in his speech explained the importance of theatre and plays for the students. Vice principal Nirmala Simon presented the vote of thanks. School Director Nishaji Saraf congratulated the students and teachers for the success of the program.

On the occasion of Makar Sankranti the student of Chanda Devi Saraf School had participated in the making of authentic dishes like chivda and tilli laddu which are specially prepared in this festival. This was done with a motive to teach students the auspicious and importance of festival. The dishes were prepared by students of class 7th and 8th under the guidance of Mrs. Vijayshree Naidu who teaches cullinary skills in school to student .All the students participated actively.

On 12th January the auditorium of The CDS school was filled with the aroma of various dishes made of millets. The CDS School had organised a healthy tiffin contest for the parents of students of classes Nursery to 4th.The parents had prepared various dishes at home using millets as one of the ingredients, they came to school with their dish and explained the nutritive value of the dish. The guest of honour and judge was Mrs.Shradha Patelia Tacker. Mrs Sujata Gadpale mother of Advait Gadpale of class 2 bulbul was declared the winner and Mrs Revathi Dive mother of Ojaswi Dive of class KG 2 was the runner up. The management praised all the participants and thanked them for participating in the event. The director of the school Nishaji Saraf Ma'am, Principal Bharati Malviya, Primary Coordinator Sonali Chikhale were present on the occassion.The programme was compered by Sushma Singh.Jyoti Bhatt rendered the vote of thanks.Technical support was given by Vinit Sir & Manpreet.

On 26 th Jan 2024, the CDS school had organised a programme for 75th Republic day. It is an important day for all the citizen of the nation which was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.

The day started with hoisting of the flag where the tricolour was unfurled by the Chief Guest Mr. Milind Wazalwar, Director of the school Mrs. Nisha Saraf and Principal Mrs. Bharti Malviya. Then national anthem was sung which echoed through the air creating a sense of unity and pride. Following that was a Parade by the High School students of IX and Xth. The young students showcased their talent by performing Yoga, gymastics and P.T display by our Primary Children adding a colourful touch the celebration. The celebration also included a few speeches given by our dignitaries highlighting the significance of Republic day and the values it represents. There were also patriotic songs sung by our Choir Group students and a skit showing the impact of peers in the life of students, which was resonated with cheers and applause from the onlookers.

There was an Art & Craft Exhibition in which handmade articles made by students were also displayed.

Overall, the Republic day celebration was a joyous and memorable occassion bringing all the students together in a spirit of pamionism and pride.

Inter CDS Cricket Tournament was held at the school ground.

A total of 3 matches were played of 5 overs each.

Today 19th february 24 there was a celebration on Shivaji Jayanti in The CDS School Katol Road. Being 376th birth anniversary of Shivaji Maharaj the children along with the teachers were present on the school ground to pay tribute to this great personality . Principle Bharti Malviya ma'am along with Hemlata Maam and Sonali ma'am showered the flowers to the Portrait of Shivaji. Then the program commenced by the high school children who gave an introduction, importance and speech on the great warrior of all times. Middle school Std 5 Ganga children trained by Reshma ma'am also paid hommage by singing a song on Shivaji Gatha and shared some amazing fact on Shivaji's war tactics, primary children sang powada which was beautifully Sung with full of zeal and trained by suraj sir and vinit sir. There was also a song sung by Kanchan ma'am Marathi teacher .The program was greatly appreciated and applauded by the spectators.

There was a Cooking Competition organised with the theme of Healthy & Nutritious Cooking with Millets & Nutrella Soya Chunks on 27th Feb '24 at the CDS School Katol Road. The students had made a variety of things with Soya chunks which is a very rich form of protein. They had prepared Cutlets, Sandwiches, Rolls and Pulao which was made with soya chunks. These cullinary skills were taught to the students by Mrs. Vijayshree Naidu mam. The Chief Guest Mrs. Rasika Dhakulkar, who is a baker, home maker and she is very dedicated towards cooking and conducts cookery classes and enjoys serving people with her delicacies.

She had selected the dishes and alloted 1st prize to Sarvesha Dongre who had made Nutrella Angoori Rabri and Nutrella Momos. The second position was secured by Himanshi Ragase, who made masala rice with Nutrella and also masala soya chunks. The Consollation prize was given to Aastha Rajkarosiya who made Dry Fruit Fudge with the same ingredient. It was very difficult to identify the dishes, which were prepared with soya chunks. The chief guest was also astonished to taste such mouth watering dishes. The Director of school Nisha Saraf ma'am has always promoted the talents of students by organizing such competitions and boosting the morale of children.

2 Months Adobe Photoshop Software Workshop organized by ZEE Institute Of Creative Art in the month of December 2023 to February 2024 at The CDS School , Katol Road . Students of class VII to XI were actively participating in this workshop and learnt various art work like, Brochures and invitation for various school events, Digital Painting, Designing of Logo, Certificates, Visiting Card, Photo Editing, Passport size photo , Double exposure, Social Media Post, Animation and many more from our Mentor of Zee Institute Of Creative Art Akshay Sonekar Sir, Dolly Banerjee and Ranjana Thakur.

Each child’s dedication and enthusiasm towards learning the intricate details of Adobe Photoshop Software were truly commendable.

FROM 18TH TO 30TH APRIL 2024

The Chanda Devi Saraf School organized its Annual SOF Olympiad exam for year 2023-24 and many students participated in it. Every year the number of students is increasing. This year too more than 800 students had enrolled for the SOF Olympiad exams. The participants were honoured with gold medals and certificates of participation. Children won 25 gold medals in NSO, 42 in IMO , 25 in IEO , 15 in IGKO and 1 gold medal in ISSO. Total 108 medals were given to the rank holders. We hope to organized many more in future. We thank our Director Mrs. Nisha Saraf and Principal Mrs. Bharti Malviya for giving students such a platform for enhancing their knowledge.

Preprimary children of CDS School katol celebrated ''Ganeshotsav'' today. Principal Mrs Bharti Malviya did Arti and Prasad distributed among children. Teachers encouraged their students to make craft related to the event. Tiny tots were happy and enjoyed this occasion a lot.

Today at CDS School, The team jana aakrosh conducted a workshop related to safty awareness on the road. They made aware the children about safety traffic rules.Mr.Ravi kashkhedekr, Subodh despande, Rajiv sangai and Mrs Shanur Mirja (Principal of Waldorf ) were the member of Jan aakrosh organisation who enlighten the tiny tots and expected to spread such important msgs among the people.

The CDS School (Katol Road) had celebrated their Annual Day on 9th September ' 2023 ,at Kavivarya Suresh Bhat Auditorium. The Chief guest for the programme was Mrs. "Bhagyalakshmi Deshkar" and other prominent guests were also present for the programme The guests were welcomed with a bouquet. The programme started with Ganesh Vandana which was beautifully sung by our school choir group. There was a welcome dance and the programme commenced with lighting of the lamp. Our School Principal Mrs. Bharti Malviya Madam read out the school report to all guests present there. The main attraction of the annual programme was a skit on Shivaji Maharaj named "Hindavi Swarajya Ke Raja Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj" The programme was full of entertainment with songs and dances. The Chief Guest praised the school and appreciated the children' s efforts.The chief Guest motivated children to work hard and put in persistent efforts with studies in school she even promoted student to recognise their hidden talents and she also mentioned that the talent shown in their performances was commendable. All the parents were mesmerized to see how beautifully the children presented the ancient Indian culture. Director Ma'am Mrs. Nishadevi Ji Saraf fully supported the program by giving her guidance. The programmed was nicely hosted by our school students ,Kavya Meshram and Arnesh Naik from Std 8th. This dance- drama was directed by our Middle School Teacher Mrs. Triveni Gaikwad and choreographed by Mrs. Jayshree Meshram our Dance Teacher .Our Music teachers , Mr Suraj Sir and Vineet Sir graced the program with their splendid music. Expressing of gratitude and vote of thanks was given by our Floor Supervisor Mrs. Hemlata Dhote Madam .Technical support was given by Mrs. Ranjana Thakur and the teachers also gave full support and co-operation in the programme which turned out to be marvellous

Girls wore colourful nawari or lugda and boys wore kurta paijama.They fed green grass to the bullock and run the races with their decorated wooden bullocks. The entire atmosphere was very colourful and joyful.

Festival of Janmashtami,The Birth of Lord Krishna was celebrated in The Chanda Devi Saraf School. The students of classes 1st to 4th actively participated in the program. A skit showing the birth of Lord Krishna in the prison was dramatized by the students of class 4th. The skit was prepared by Aarti Mate assisted by Shubhangi Savarkar.Most of the students came to school in colourful attires, as Radha & Krishna. Director of the school Mrs Nishaji Saraf & Principal of the school Mrs. Bharti Malviya appreciated the efforts of the students & teachers.The program was conducted under the able guidance of Primary Incharge Sonali Chikhale.Vote of thanks was proposed by Shirley Leo.

Tiny tots of CDS School katol celebrated Rakshabandhan .The motto behind celebrating this festival is to make them understand the meaning of this word, which means " to tie for protection ". Children also shared sweets with each other.

And their topic was "ONE NATION ONE ELECTION".

Students introduced the topic by explaining the meaning and it's importance which refers to the proposal of conducting both Lok Sabha and State Assembly election concurrently in India.

This activity was performed a group. They mentioned the pros and cons of the topic. Then put the ideal solution and concluded the topic with the thought.

Chanda Devi Saraf High and junior College celebrated International English Day on the 23rd of April 2024 which is traditionally observed as the birth and death anniversary of William Shakespeare. The celebration aimed to entertain as well as to inform, with the goal of increasing awareness and respect for the history and culture of the English Language and the achievements of the innumerable writers,poets and playwrights.
